Montessori Cooking

  • (Ages 3+) 
Preparing food is a multi-sensory experience that helps children develop physical and cognitive skills, as well as independence and self-satisfaction! Montessori Cooking skills include:
  • mixing, stirring, pouring, spooning, tonging
  • cutting, spreading, peeling, mashing, grating
  • measuring, estimating, basic mathematics and ratios
  • recognizing cause and effect relationships
  • problem solving and procedural thinking
  • English language and communication skills
  • understanding of basic nutrition and health (i.e. limiting sugar, cooking with fruit and vegetables)
  • understanding food as a fun cultural and social activity!
  • Tuesday 1:30pm to 3:00 pm
